Apple Pie Oatmeal

Apple Pie Oatmeal

One of my favourite things growing up was homemade apple pie.  Why just have it as a desert when you can make a healthy version and have it for breakfast.

  • 1/8 tsp (0.13 tsp) allspice, ground
  • 1/8 tsp (0.13 tsp) cloves, ground
  • 1/8 tsp (0.13 tsp) nutmeg, ground
  • ½ tsp (0.5 tsp) cinnamon, ground

  • ½ cup (0.5 cup) raisins , optional
  • ½ tsp (0.5 tsp) maple syrup , optional
  • 1 small (1 small) apple
  • ½ cup (0.5 cup) oatmeal
  • 1 cup (1 cup) water

  • In a small pot add the nutmeg, all spice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, apple and water.
  • Bring to a boil then shut off. Add in your oats stir and cover for 3 minutes.

  • Raisins, I find these give the dish enough sweetness for me.
  • Maple Syrup, I would put this in only if you require it to be a bit sweeter. (You could also use a sweetener substitute of your choice)

Serve It Sexy
